Polyurea Coating

Product introduction:

Component A of AMMT-020 polyurea anti-corrosion material is modified quasi-prepolymer and component B consists of amine-terminated polyether, amine chain extender, nanofiller and pigment and is shaped by spraying on site. The technology unifies new material, new equipment and new process together, breaking through the limitation that the polyurea/polyurethane material must be used with supporting primer in the past, and it can be directly sprayed on the surface of steel base material.

Polyurea technology introduction:

Polyurea is sprayed on-site from raw materials such as semi-prepolymer, amino-terminated polyether, and amine chain extender. It is highly hydrophobic and insensitive to environmental humidity. It can even be spray-coated on water (or ice) to form a film. It can be used normally under extremely harsh environmental conditions and its performance is particularly outstanding. The emergence of polyurea completely broke the traditional concept of anti corrosion and protection, and set a higher standard for the material protection industry. The polyurea coating is flexible, rigid, and rich in color. It is dense, continuous, and seamless. It completely blocks the penetration of moisture and oxygen in the air, and has unparalleled anti corrosive and protective properties. It also has a variety of functions such as wear resistance, water resistance, impact resistance, fatigue resistance, aging resistance, high temperature resistance, and nuclear radiation resistance. Application:

AMMT-020 polyurea anti-corrosion materials are mainly used for the chemical equipment in the petroleum, petrochemical, oil field and chemical industries, such as storage tank, carbonizer, salt water tank and other steel chemical storage tanks as well as wharf, steel pile, offshore platform and other coastal and marine facilities.

Construction description:

Construction condition: Temperature of coating substrate: minimum: 5℃; maximum: 45℃ relative humidity: less than 90%; surface temperature of substrate: at least 3℃ higher than dew point temperature. Both the humidity and temperature shall be measured near the substrate. Outdoor painting is not allowed in rainy, snowy, foggy or strongly windy condition.

Construction method: Spray by special two-component equipment. Airless spraying

Diluent amount: It is forbidden to add

Precautions: No dry spraying

The spraying pressure and nozzle dimension may need adjustment based on the specific requirements for spraying performance.

Tool cleaning:

Special diluent or methyl ethyl ketone

Surface treatment:

Direct coating: Level Sa2.5 sand blasting, with a surface roughness of 55-70μm.

Primer coating: Coat polyurea materials directly in the effective coating interval of special polyurea primer, which shall be coated again when the effective coating interval is over.

Compatibility:

Pre-process compatibility: able to be used directly; AMMT-016 special polyurea primer for concrete; AMMT-017 special polyurea primer for steel structure.

Packaging specifications:

Component A: 200L/barrel

Component B: 200L/barrel

Storage:

The storage warehouse should be kept dry, ventilated and away from heat and fire. Packaging should be kept sealed and the storage period can be one year.

Safety:

No fire source is allowed on the coating material mixing and construction sites, where the ventilation shall be satisfactory. Coating material construction personnel must wear protective devices to avoid skin exposure. When the coating material is splashed on skin, it's necessary to wash with proper cleaning agent or soapy water immediately and seek medical advice.
